Product description

Château Montfollet is owned by Dominique Raimond, a fifth-generation winemaker deeply rooted in the Blaye region. The estate has built a reputation for producing wines that respect tradition while showcasing the terroir’s modern expression, with meticulous attention to both vineyard management and cellar practices.

Wine Description

This cuvée presents a deep ruby colour with purple reflections. On the nose, it reveals rich aromas of blackberries, plums, and black cherries, layered with subtle notes of vanilla, spice, and a touch of cedar. The palate is ample and structured, offering concentrated dark fruit flavours balanced by lively freshness. Fine-grained tannins give the wine depth and texture, leading to a long, elegant finish accented with hints of licorice and grilled notes.

Food Pairing

Ideal with hearty dishes such as wild boar stew, roast lamb, or braised short ribs.
