Product description
Chateau Pape Clement 2019 originates from France, within the Bordeaux region and the Pessac Leognan subregion. The estate boasts a rich winemaking history dating back to the 13th century when it was first planted by Bertrand de Goth, who later became Pope Clement V. Owned today by Bernard Magrez, the winery balances traditional craftsmanship with modern viticulture, managing ancient gravelly terroirs to produce world class, cellar worthy Grand Cru Classe wines.
Wine Description
This red wine displays a deep garnet purple colour. The nose is intense, expressive, and highly complex, opening with bold aromas of ripe cassis, dark plum, and black cherry intertwined with nuances of lead pencil, cedar, tobacco, crushed stone, and subtle floral iris notes. On the palate, it exhibits a full body with a rich, velvety texture supported by dense, ultra-fine tannins and vibrant mineral energy. Stylistically, the 2019 vintage showcases remarkable freshness, power, and precision, finishing with extraordinary length and lingering spice.
Varietal composition: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot
