Product description
Chateau Pape Clement 2021 originates from France, within the Bordeaux region and the Pessac Leognan subregion. The estate boasts a rich winemaking history dating back to the 13th century when it was first planted by Bertrand de Goth, who later became Pope Clement V. Owned today by Bernard Magrez, the winery balances traditional craftsmanship with modern viticulture, managing ancient gravelly terroirs to produce world class, cellar worthy Grand Cru Classe wines.
Wine Description
This red wine displays a deep ruby plum to dark crimson colour. The nose opens with expressive aromas of sweet red berries, black cherry, and blackcurrant intertwined with complex notes of espresso roast, black truffles, scorched earth, and subtle cedar wood. On the palate, it exhibits a medium body with a polished, satiny texture, balanced by bright acidity and refined, integrated tannins. Stylistically, the 2021 vintage highlights a more classical, elegant, and fresh profile with attractive minerality, graphite, and savory spice lingering through a persistent finish.
Varietal composition: 50% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot
