Product description
Chateau Pape Clement 2022 originates from France, within the Bordeaux region and the Pessac Leognan subregion. The estate boasts a rich winemaking history dating back to the 13th century when it was first planted by Bertrand de Goth, who later became Pope Clement V. Owned today by Bernard Magrez, the winery balances traditional craftsmanship with modern viticulture, managing ancient gravelly terroirs to produce world class, cellar worthy Grand Cru Classe wines.
Wine Description
This red wine displays a deep, dark garnet purple colour. The nose is highly expressive and complex, presenting soaring aromas of ripe cassis, dark plum, and blueberry alongside nuances of crushed stone, white pepper, sweet tobacco, and cedar wood. On the palate, it exhibits a full body with a rich, layered texture and dense, polished tannins that provide firm structural backbone. Stylistically, the wine strikes a remarkable balance between power and vibrant freshness, showing exceptional precision, energy, and a long, lingering finish.

97 Points - James Suckling
A very well-balanced Pape Clement showing a solid structure, concentration and length. Fresh and complex, with a fine streak of minerals and aromas of cassis, berries, white pepper and tapenade. Some wood spices, but they’re quite restrained. Full-bodied, tight and long. A transparent and complete wine for the cellar.
