Originating from Italy in the northern region of Trentino-Alto Adige, specifically within the cool mountain valleys of the Alto Adige DOC subregion, Colterenzio Pinot Grigio Alto Adige DOC represents a fresh, terroir-driven expression of Alpine winemaking. Founded in 1960 by a small group of visionary winegrowers, the Colterenzio cooperative (Schreckbichl) today unites over 300 winegrowing families dedicated to sustainable farming. The winery’s philosophy focuses on single-lot selection and high-altitude viticulture to craft crisp, aromatic, and mineral-precise wines that capture the distinct alpine-mediterranean climate of northern Italy.

Wine Description

The wine displays a brilliant pale straw yellow colour with subtle copper highlights in the glass. An inviting, fragrant bouquet opens with crisp aromas of Conference pear, white peach, and green apple, complemented by fresh notes of jasmine, lemon blossom, and subtle crushed stone minerality. On the palate, it is medium bodied, dry, and elegantly textured, offering juicy flavours of ripe orchard fruit, grapefruit zest, and delicate almond, all supported by a vibrant backbone of mouthwatering acidity. Fermented and aged in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with brief lees contact, it effortlessly balances high-altitude mountain freshness and clean minerality with a smooth, rounded mouthfeel and pure fruit purity.
