Product description

Conde Forli Sangiovese Rosato originates from the hills of Predappio within the Forli-Cesena province of the Emilia Romagna region in Italy.

The winery was established in 2001 by Francesco Condello, who left a career in finance to restore the tradition of authentic Sangiovese di Predappio. Managing the estate alongside his daughter Chiara since 2012, the family operates with a philosophy that great wine is born in the vineyard through manual labor and a deep respect for the land's 700 year viticultural history. The estate emphasizes sustainability and biodiversity, treating the vineyard as a balanced ecosystem where nature dictates the rhythm of production.

Wine Description

This 100% Sangiovese rosato presents a pale and clear pink colour often highlighted by orange reflections. The aroma is fresh and intense, featuring scents of fruit and flowers such as ripe strawberry, tart cranberry, and acacia blossom. On the palate, the wine is light bodied and incredibly fresh, showing vibrant notes of pomegranate, zesty tangerine, and red berries. It is characterized by a crisp, balanced structure and a persistent mineral finish.

With an ABV of approximately 12.5%, the wine is crafted from grapes grown in calcareous and clayey soils, which contribute to its marked acidity and elegance. The production process includes low temperature fermentation in stainless steel and 4 to 5 months of aging on the lees to add texture without malolactic fermentation. This wine is certified organic and produced without chemical herbicides or pesticides.

Food Pairing

The high acidity and fresh profile of this rosato make it an excellent choice for fish-based starters, seafood crudités, and light fresh fish dishes. It pairs beautifully with Italian charcuterie, such as prosciutto and cured meats, as well as hard cheeses like Parmesan or Pecorino. For a more casual pairing, it complements Margherita pizza, roasted red pepper hummus, or seasonal watermelon salad with feta.
