While their Barbaresco wines are built for long aging, this Langhe Nebbiolo is designed as a more accessible, "declassified" expression of the estate’s younger vines, offering the noble character of the Nebbiolo grape with a more immediate, approachable charm.

Wine Description

Cortese Langhe Nebbiolo displays a bright, translucent ruby red color with classic garnet reflections. The nose is highly aromatic and sophisticated, offering a fragrant bouquet of wild raspberries, dried roses, and red cherries, layered with subtle notes of leather, white pepper, and a hint of forest floor. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and well-structured, featuring the variety's signature "crunchy" acidity and firm, fine-grained tannins. It is characterized by its elegant tension and savory undertones of anise, tobacco, and a distinct mineral finish. This 100% Nebbiolo has an ABV of 13.5% to 14% and was fermented in stainless steel before undergoing a brief period of aging in neutral Slavonian oak casks to soften the tannins while preserving fruit purity.
