Cusumano Alta Mora Etna Bianco 2023

Cusumano is a family-owned winery founded in 2001 by brothers Diego and Alberto Cusumano. Their Alta Mora project is dedicated to vineyards on the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna, showcasing the unique terroir of this dramatic region. The estate focuses on indigenous varieties and precise winemaking to highlight the authenticity of Etna’s character.

Wine Description

This wine is crafted from 100% Carricante grapes grown between 600 and 900 metres above sea level on mineral-rich volcanic soils. It shows a pale straw yellow colour with golden highlights. The nose reveals flinty minerality alongside citrus zest, white flowers, ripe apple, fennel, and hints of brioche and marzipan. On the palate, it is taut and precise, with vibrant acidity balanced by a creamy texture. Saline minerality runs through to a long, structured finish.

Food Pairing

An excellent companion to seafood, shellfish, and raw fish dishes such as sushi or crudo. It also pairs well with risotto, grilled vegetables, white meats, and fresh cheeses.
