Wine Description

'Marghe' is 100% Nebbiolo. It presents a bright garnet-red colour.

The bouquet is delicate, yet intense, offering classic Nebbiolo aromas of red fruit like raspberry and cherry, complemented by floral notes of rose and violet. Subtle hints of anise, rhubarb, and tar may also appear.

On the palate, it is dry, harmonious, and full-bodied. It provides a full, silky mouthfeel. The flavours are consistent with the nose, featuring tart red cherry, liquorice, and dried herbs. It is characterized by notable freshness and firm, well-integrated tannins that provide structure. The finish is long and persistent. The grapes are sourced from various vineyards in the Langhe area. The wine is aged for 12 months in large French oak barrels (traditionally 20-30HL barrels), followed by 6 months in bottle. It is meant to be drunk young, but it offers complexity and great balance.
