Dandelion Vineyards GSM Managerie 2018
This slurpy, rich wine is a meld of 80% of grenache, thankfully but a smidgeon of shiraz, alongside a dollop of the more interesting mataro (5%). Hewn of fruit from abutting blocks and loosely, thus, a field blend. Delicious. Kirsch and smoked meat notes are corralled by some spicy whole-bunch revelry. The finish is long, sappy and nicely pliant. The oak a pillar of support, giving direction.
