Decoy Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Decoy was established in 1985 by legendary vintners Dan and Margaret Duckhorn, originally as a single second-label wine to support the Duckhorn Vineyards brand. Decoy has since evolved into a focused winery renowned for producing attractively priced wines that express their full charm and complexity in their youth.

Wine Description

On the nose, this Cabernet Sauvignon showcases rich blackberry and blueberry aromas with hints of baking spice and black pepper. The palate is full-bodied and bursting with juicy fruit, where flavours of black cherry, ripe plum, cranberry, and tapenade may be found, complemented by oak-inspired hints of nutmeg, vanilla, and cardamom. The wine is structured by strong, silky, mouthcoating tannins, with juicy acidity adding poise and energy. The finish is bold, smooth, and long, with a touch of spice.
