Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc hails from the Wairau Valley in the Marlborough region of New Zealand. As one of the oldest privately established vineyards in Marlborough, this family owned estate is a pioneer in organic viticulture, holding the country's largest certified organic vineyard area. The winery operates with a low interventionist ethos, focusing on hand picking and indigenous yeast fermentations to produce wines that authentically reflect their unique silty loam and clay soils.
Wine Description
This wine presents a pale straw colour with a vibrant, perfumed bouquet featuring freshly squeezed citrus, dried herbs, and the estate’s signature flinty, smoky reduction. On the palate, it is medium bodied and finely textured, offering a juicy core of lemon, grapefruit, and white stone fruit balanced by a distinctive saline acidity and a mineral backbone. Composed of 100% Sauvignon Blanc, the wine is bottled without fining and exhibits a complex, layered finish with great concentration.
