The Dolin Vermouth de Chambéry Dry is a classic French vermouth known for its light and herbal style, originating from the Chambéry region, which holds the only protected designation of origin (AOC) for vermouth in France.
Colour: Pale yellow with a clear and bright appearance.
Aroma: Aromatic notes of alpine herbs, citrus peel, and subtle florals, including chamomile and elderflower.
Palate: Delicate and dry, featuring flavors of fresh herbs, lemon verbena, and green apple, with a gentle bitterness from wormwood.
Body: Light-bodied with a refreshing texture.
Finish: Crisp, with lingering herbal and citrus notes.
Dolin Dry Vermouth is made using a base of Ugni Blanc wine, fortified with a blend of more than 50 botanicals such as rose petals, chamomile, and gentian. This vermouth is celebrated for its balance of subtle sweetness and bitterness, making it an essential ingredient in classic cocktails like the Martini, where it allows the gin to shine through without overpowering the drink.
With an ABV of 17.5%, it is versatile for use in both cocktails and as an aperitif on its own, served over ice with a twist of lemon. Dolin’s dedication to using natural infusions rather than extracts contributes to the complexity and elegance of this vermouth, distinguishing it from many other commercial vermouths on the market.
