Product description

This classic white wine originates from France, within the northern Burgundy region and the renowned Chablis subregion. Domaine des Pérégrins (Domaine Moreau et Fille) is an artisan estate based in the small village of Poilly sur Serein, where Eléonore Moreau represents the single independent winemaker bottling and commercializing her own wines. Embracing a patient, small scale approach to viticulture, the estate operates under certified organic farming practices to protect soil health and express the purest identity of the region.

Wine Description

This 2022 Chablis displays a brilliant yellow hue in the glass. The nose presents an expressive, refined aromatic profile defined by yellow apple, fresh lemon, and white flowers accompanied by subtle spice and an unmistakable flinty mineral edge. On the palate, it is remarkably pure, supple, and beautifully structured, showing a powerful core of chalky minerality balanced by lively fruit intensity. The body is medium and clean, offering a round, elegant texture that leads to a long, precise finish. Crafted entirely as a 100% Chardonnay varietal expression, the grapes undergo long aging for 15 months on fine lees in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks with minimal intervention. The wine features an alcohol by volume of around 12.5% and is produced from certified organic vineyards.

Food Pairing

The pure mineral drive, bright citrus core, and crisp structure of this Chablis make it a fantastic match for fine dining. It pairs exceptionally well with fresh oysters, delicate shellfish, halibut, and pan seared white fish. Structurally, its vibrant acidity and clean profile also complement puff pastry mushroom dishes, roasted poultry, goat cheese, and fresh cucumber salads.

Vintage Quality

The 2022 vintage in Burgundy delivered excellent quality, yielding ripe, generous fruit balanced by classic structural freshness. Eléonore Moreau demonstrated outstanding skill throughout the growing season and harvest, utilizing low intervention winemaking and extended lees contact to preserve the vibrant, terroir driven minerality while allowing the fruit to achieve sublime texture and length.
