Owned by François Feuillet and exclusively vinified under the direction of master winemaker David Duband, Domaine François Feuillet shares the exact same organic viticulture, parcel management, and vinification philosophy as Domaine David Duband. Sourced from Les Cras, a prestigious Premier Cru parcel situated directly adjacent to the northern wall of the Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru on steep, rocky limestone soils, the winemaking philosophy combines hand harvesting, significant whole-cluster fermentation (approximately 50% to 60%), native yeast fermentation, and aging in French oak barrels (approximately 30% to 35% new) to craft a wine marked by intense floral lift, spice complexity, and crystalline limestone drive.

Wine Description

The wine presents a clear, brilliant dark ruby colour with vibrant crimson and garnet highlights along the rim. An expressive, highly complex bouquet opens with noble aromas of dark red cherry, wild raspberry, black plum, and crushed cassis, interwoven with intoxicating notes of peony petals, violet, forest floor, sweet spices, and subtle toasted oak. On the palate, it is medium-to-full bodied, satiny, and taut, delivering focused flavours of black cherry, dark berry fruit, and mineral iron, all anchored by a vibrant, mouthwatering core of natural acidity. Framed by fine-grained, chiseled Premier Cru tannins derived from the rocky soils and an energetic mid-palate, it concludes with a long, persistent finish marked by lingering red fruit, spice, and flinty limestone grip. Composed of 100% Pinot Noir, this 2017 release offers an optimal drinking window of 2024–2037. Stylistically, it combines the charming transparency and perfume of the 2017 vintage with Les Cras' signature tension, structure, and near-Grand Cru nobility.
