Product description
This sparkling wine originates from the Burgundy region of France, where the fruit is sourced from vineyards situated at the foot of the Brouilly hill. Domaine Pierre Andre Dumas is a family estate spanning 15 hectares of vines, currently managed by Pierre André, a third generation winemaker who blends modern ideas with deep respect for terroir and traditions. The winery focuses heavily on sustainable viticulture and is converting towards certified organic farming practices to let the vineyards speak honestly.
Wine Description
This Crémant de Bourgogne displays green tints on a limpid robe, driven by a brilliance of fine, persistent bubbles. The nose presents a fine, expressive profile highlighted by green apple, yellow fruits, peach, and apricot. On the palate, it is supple, airy, and beautifully balanced, offering a soft and pleasant texture backed by vibrant fruit, fine bubbles, and good length. This medium bodied sparkling wine shows excellent freshness and crispness, leading to a clean, lively finish. Crafted as a Blanc de Blancs, it consists entirely of 100% Chardonnay grapes. The wine features an alcohol by volume of 12.50% and is actively in conversion toward organic agriculture.
Food Pairing
This dry, fresh sparkling wine serves as a perfect before dinner drink on its own or mixed into a traditional fruit crème cocktail. Structurally, its crisp acidity and fine bubbles complement fresh fish, seafood platters, and lightly smoked fish. It also pairs wonderfully with cured meats, soft cheeses, and light pasta dishes.
Vintage Quality
Recent growing seasons in the region required winemakers to navigate fluctuating weather conditions and yield variations, demanding careful management in the vineyards. The estate successfully maintained excellent fruit density and acidity through precise harvest timing and controlled fermentations, showcasing the winemaker's skill in preserving freshness.
