Product description

Domaine Rémi Jobard Meursault Les Narvaux is a highly regarded village-level white wine from Burgundy, France. Produced in the Meursault appellation of the Côte de Beaune, Les Narvaux is a prestigious "lieu-dit" (named vineyard) situated high on the hillside above the Premier Cru Genevrières. This elevated position on rocky, limestone soils typically produces wines with greater tension and mineral drive than standard village wines. Rémi Jobard is known for his organic viticulture and a precise, low-intervention winemaking style that utilizes Stockinger barrels to emphasize terroir transparency.

Wine Description

  • Varietal Composition: 100% Chardonnay from vines approximately 30 years old.

  • Aromatic Profile: The nose is fruity and floral, featuring aromas of deep, slightly dark fruit accompanied by notes of roasted almonds.

  • Palate and Body: It is a rich, complex, and balanced wine with an enveloping mouthfeel. Les Narvaux is known for being more powerful and assertive than many village wines, offering a dense texture and a salty mineral undertow.

  • Structure: The wine possesses a solid acidic backbone and a finish that returns to notes of fresh butter and sweet spices.

  • Winemaking and Aging: The estate has been certified organic since 2011. The wine is fermented and aged in Austrian demi-muids (Stockinger barrels), with approximately 20% to 25% new oak used to provide a discrete but firm wooden backbone.

  • Alcohol Content: Typically 13.5% or 13.0% depending on the specific bottling.
