Domaine Rolet Arbois Tradition 2023 is a red wine from the Jura region of eastern France. Established in 1942 by Désiré Rolet, the estate is a benchmark for the region, currently encompassing 66 hectares across the four major Jura AOCs. The winery follows a philosophy that balances eight decades of tradition with modernity, utilizing separate vinification for each parcel to authentically capture the diverse limestone and marl soils of the Arbois terroir.
Wine Description
This light and perfumed red displays a clear, vibrant hue in the glass. The sensory profile opens with a lifted bouquet of rhubarb and juicy cherry, evolving into complex layers of wild strawberry, dried herbs, and forest floor. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and savory with a distinct 'Jura funk' and a mineral streak. The structure is defined by finely firm, tea-lined tannins and a refreshing, lean acidity. This traditional blend is composed of 45% Pinot Noir, 35% Trousseau, and 20% Poulsard. The wine has an ABV of 12.5% and was aged for nine months in older foudre and barrels to preserve its fruit purity. It is produced using organic farming practices.
