Product description

Originating from France in the Burgundy region, specifically within the Chorey Les Beaune appellation in the Cote de Beaune, Domaine Tollot Beaut Chorey Les Beaune 2022 represents a generous, vibrant, and accessible village expression of classic Pinot Noir. Managed by fifth generation family members Nathalie, Jean Paul, and Olivier Tollot, Domaine Tollot Beaut is historically celebrated as one of the first estates in the region to bottle its entire harvest at the property. Sourced from various village level parcels situated on flat, fertile plains with deep alluvial clay and limestone soils, the winemaking philosophy focuses on meticulous vineyard care, hand harvesting, complete destemming, and native yeast fermentation. The wine is aged in French oak barrels (approximately 20% new) for up to 18 months, crafting a Pinot Noir renowned for its supple fruit concentration, open aromatics, and polished structure.

Wine Description

The wine presents a clear, bright dark ruby red colour with vivid crimson reflections in the glass. An expressive, highly fragrant bouquet opens with ripe aromas of dark red cherry, wild strawberry, and black plum, interwoven with subtle notes of sweet spices, dried herbs, forest floor, and gentle toasted oak. On the palate, it is medium bodied, fleshy, and supple, delivering generous flavours of juicy red berries, sour cherry, and subtle earthiness, all supported by a bright, mouthwatering core of natural acidity. Framed by smooth, rounded tannins and a harmonious mid-palate, it concludes with a clean, pleasing finish marked by lingering red fruit and delicate spice. Composed of 100% Pinot Noir, this release offers an optimal drinking window of 2026–2034. Stylistically, it offers an exceptionally charm filled, food friendly, and approachable entry point to Cote de Beaune red Burgundy.
