Originating from France in the Burgundy region, specifically within the Corton Grand Cru appellation in the northern Cote de Beaune, Domaine Tollot Beaut Grand Cru 'Le Corton' represents a noble, structured, and cellaring grade expression of classic Pinot Noir. Managed by fifth generation winemakers Nathalie, Jean Paul, and Olivier Tollot, Domaine Tollot Beaut is an historic estate celebrated for bottling its entire production at the domain since the 1920s. Sourced from the prized Le Corton climat positioned high on the eastern slope of the Corton hill on steep, iron-rich marl and limestone soils, the winemaking philosophy combines high-density planting, complete destemming, and native yeast fermentation.

Wine Description

The wine presents a deep, clear dark garnet ruby colour with bright crimson highlights along the rim. An intense, highly perfumed bouquet opens with regal aromas of dark red cherry, wild blackberry, black plum, and crushed cassis, interwoven with delicate notes of violet petals, forest floor, damp earth, sweet spices, and dark toasted oak. On the palate, it is medium-to-full bodied, taut, and deeply concentrated, delivering focused flavours of black cherry, dark berry fruit, and mineral iron, all anchored by a vibrant, mouthwatering core of natural acidity. Framed by fine-grained, chiseled Grand Cru tannins and a commanding mid-palate structure, it concludes with an exceptionally long, persistent finish marked by lingering dark fruit, savory spice, and stony mineral tension.
