This premier cru originates from France, within the Côte de Nuits region and the prestigious subregion of Gevrey Chambertin. Domaine Tortochot is a historic family estate founded in 1865 by Paul Tortochot, and it is currently managed by his great-granddaughter, Chantal Tortochot. The domain is committed to organic viticulture, having earned Ecocert certification in 2013, and focuses on minimal intervention to ensure each plot faithfully reflects the unique richness and complexity of Burgundian soils.
Wine Description
This 100% Pinot Noir presents a medium ruby colour and opens with a pronounced, complex nose featuring aromas of dark cherries, raspberry, and blackcurrants layered with notes of liquorice, mushrooms, and elegant floral touches of rose and wallflower. On the palate, the wine is full bodied and well structured, displaying a 'masculine' character with firm yet velvet tannins and a refreshing acidity.
