Product description
Donatella Cinelli Colombini Brunello di Montalcino originates from Italy, within the Tuscany region and the Montalcino subregion. The winery is situated at the historic Casato Prime Donne estate, which has belonged to the ancestors of Donatella Cinelli Colombini since the late 16th century. The winery operates with a unique and pioneering philosophy, establishing itself as the first winery in Italy with an all-female staff and developing selections dedicated to showcasing female talent in the wine world.
Wine Description
This red wine presents a deep, rich ruby appearance in the glass and possesses a medium-to-full body with an enveloping texture. The sensory profile is elegant, traditional, and rustic, opening with a complex and spicy nose of sliced cherries, fresh strawberries, and orange peel, complemented by deep aromas of nutmeg, black pepper, and ripe plums. On the balanced palate, it delivers a harmonious and succulent combination of sour cherries, dark berries, and wild herbs, intertwined with hints of marzipan and savory wood notes. The finish is long and well-structured, characterized by an architectural persistence, firm, high-quality tannins, and a lightly astringent, satisfying closing edge.
-
Varietal Composition: 100% Sangiovese.
-
Stylistic Notes: The wine is celebrated for its incredible structural frame, balance, and classical poise, utilizing careful skin maceration alongside aging for at least two years in French oak and traditional Slavonian barrels to ensure excellent complexity and cellaring potential.

-
Organic Status: Crafted entirely from hand-harvested vineyards farmed under strict eco-conscious guidelines, this estate bottling is certified organic.
