Duckhorn Chardonnay 2023 presents a brilliant straw yellow appearance. The sensory profile is highly aromatic and "inviting," featuring a nose of ripe pear, fresh lemongrass, and a delicate touch of ginger. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied and "silky," showcasing vibrant layers of citrus, white peach, and creamy crème brûlée underpinned by a subtle hint of salinity. It is characterized by its balanced complexity, a round mouthfeel with notes of vanilla and butter, and a long, juicy finish. This 100% Chardonnay reached an ABV of 14.1% and was matured for 9 months in 100% French oak using a mix of 40% new, 30% second-use, and 30% neutral barrels.
