Product description
The 2022 Dolcetto d'Alba is a vibrant expression of Piedmont’s everyday red, crafted entirely from Dolcetto grapes sourced from vineyards in Barolo. It pours a deep ruby colour with a lively purple hue. The nose bursts with fresh blackberries, violet petals, and hints of spice and crushed stone. On the palate, it delivers bright, juicy fruit — think wild cherry and plum — backed by a subtle bitter almond edge and soft tannins. Medium-bodied with a silky texture, the wine finishes with energetic freshness and mineral lift, making it highly drinkable and approachable young. Best enjoyed within 3–5 years of the vintage to capture its vibrant fruit character and pure varietal charm.
Food Pairing
This Dolcetto pairs beautifully with mushroom risotto, grilled sausages, or pasta with meat ragu. Its bright acidity and soft tannins also make it an excellent companion for hard cheeses or pizza with prosciutto. This pairing highlights the wine’s depth and character.
