Edetaria Via Terra Red 2024

This expressive red wine hails from the Terra Alta region in Catalonia, Spain. Edetària is the personal project of winemaker Joan Àngel Lliberia, who founded the winery in 2003 with a focus on expressing the unique terroir of his family’s ancestral vineyards through native grape varieties. The estate’s philosophy centers on sustainable, organic farming and precise, plot-by-plot vinification to capture the authentic character of the Gandesa plain.

Wine Description

The Edetaria Via Terra Red is an intense ruby red with youthful violet hues. On the nose, it offers a vibrant bouquet of fresh-picked garden strawberries, raspberries, and morello cherries, accented by subtle hints of rose petal and wild grass. This medium-bodied wine is crafted from 100% Garnacha Tinta (Red Grenache) and features a palate stuffed with plummy red fruit flavours and sweet, integrated tannins. The finish is refreshing and long, marked by a delicate spicy note and a hint of chili-pepper.
