El Mayor Añejo is a premium spirit produced in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, specifically just outside the city of Arandas. The brand is a result of a decades-old partnership between the Lux and Gonzalez families, with production led by Master Distiller Rodolfo Gonzalez, a third-generation tequilero whose children represent the fourth generation of the family legacy. The distillery’s philosophy centres on estate-grown excellence, utilizing 100% blue Weber agave cultivated at approximately 7,500 feet above sea level in mineral-rich, sandy soil.

Designed for slow, contemplative sipping, this 100% agave tequila displays a deep golden to amber hue following an extensive maturation period of 18 to 36 months in American white oak barrels. The nose is characterized by a complex bouquet of caramel, sweet fruit, and light oak, with deeper notes of butterscotch, vanilla, and 'brown spices' such as cinnamon and ginger. On the palate, it offers a smooth, medium-to-full-bodied entry that reveals layers of grilled tropical fruits, rich toffee, and a signature herbal quality.
