This wine originates from Chile, within the Casablanca Valley. Escudo Rojo was created in 1999 by Baron Philippe de Rothschild Chile, bridging French winemaking expertise with premium Chilean terroirs. The winery's philosophy combines traditional Bordeaux winemaking techniques with low-intervention viticulture to express the distinct maritime influence, cool breezes, and granite soils of the coastal Casablanca Valley.
Wine Description
This bright ruby red wine opens with alluring aromas of fresh red cherry, wild raspberry, and strawberry, complemented by delicate notes of black pepper, subtle vanilla, and earthy forest floor. On the palate, it displays a medium body with a soft, silky texture, balanced by refined tannins and a lively natural acidity. The finish is clean, smooth, and elegant with lingering hints of red fruit and gentle oak spice. The varietal composition is 100% Pinot Noir. It has an alcohol content of 14% ABV and is not certified organic.
