Named after the classic timber frames used to build traditional American barns, the Post & Beam label was launched to create artisanal, site-specific wines that require less cellaring than Far Niente’s flagship bottles. The winemaking philosophy focuses on capturing the immediate fruit purity and structural balance of selection parcels across the Napa Valley.

Wine Description

In the glass, the 2023 vintage displays a rich, vibrant ruby-purple color. The nose is highly expressive and forward, exuding an effusive perfume of wild raspberry preserves, black cherry, and black plum, wrapped in warm hints of clove and confectionery baking spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, broad, and ripe, featuring an easy, plush texture laced with soft, well-integrated tannins. Layers of cassis and bright red cherries are supported by fine leather, subtle botanical accents, and a lingering, satisfying finish carrying notes of toasted espresso beans.
