Father Time (stylized as Fathertime) Precious Batch Bourbon is a limited-run, collectible Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from the country of the United States. This spirit is a celebrity collaboration between comedian Jim Gaffigan and independent film director Stu Pollard. The brand is themed around the "paternal sacrifice" and the brief periods of peace every hard-working parent earns. It is distilled in Kentucky and bottled by Fathertime Bourbon, LLC in Bardstown. The Precious Batch series consists of ultra-limited releases, including the "Firstborn Edition," "Second Child Syndrome," and "Middle Child Mystery".
Spirit Description
Fathertime Precious Batch is crafted using traditional bourbon-making methods and aged in new American oak charred barrels. Each bottle of the Firstborn Edition is personally hand-signed by Jim Gaffigan.
Colour: Amber.
Aroma: The nose features inviting scents of rich aged honey, delicate tea blossom, vanilla, and caramel. Some tasters also note aloe vera and tart rhubarb.
Palate: The palate is beautifully balanced and sweet, revealing notes of oak, cherry, quince crumble, and burnt caramel.
Finish: A pleasantly powerful finish with lingering notes of honeysuckle and sweet tea.
Mashbill: One major release features a mashbill of 58% corn, 33% rye, and 9% malted barley.
ABV: The "regular strength" small batch is bottled at 46.2% ABV (92.4 proof), while the "Empty Nester Strength" (cask strength) expressions reach up to 62.8% ABV (125.6 proof).
