Feudi Di San Gregorio Serpico 2014

Product description

Feudi di San Gregorio Serpico is a ruby red color. A complete bouquet of cherry jam, sweet spices, licorice, coffee and cacao. Balanced in the mouth with background of toast and spice, minerality with a long, pleasant finish.

Excellent with roasted red meats, the finest poultry, game and aged cheeses.

92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

This wine needs a little more time to settle. The 2014 Irpinia Aglianico Serpico is a bit rigid and inflexible at first, with pronounced fruit intensity that is direct and sharp. But give this full-bodied Campania red more time to evolve in the glass, and it quietly begins to show its subtle magic. Those fruit tones begin to soften and take on more volume with subtle spice and earthy overtones. The tannins are firm and young.

92 Points - James Suckling

This bold aglianico is savory and spicy, but also has really well crafted tannins and lively acidity. Moderate length, but I love the balance.
