From Italy’s sun-soaked island of Sicily, in the region of Noto in the southeast, Feudo Maccari crafts expressive wines rooted in the area’s rich viticultural heritage. The estate, owned by Antonio Moretti Cuseri and his daughter Monica since 2000, is renowned for its bush-trained vines, volcanic and calcareous soils, and a winemaking philosophy focused on purity and expression of terroir.
Wine Description
This 100% Grillo displays a bright straw-yellow colour. On the nose, it opens with aromas of white flowers, citrus zest, and ripe pear, layered with hints of Mediterranean herbs and a subtle saline minerality. The palate is fresh and vibrant, offering flavours of crisp apple, lemon, and mango, underpinned by a delicate almond note. Medium-bodied with balanced acidity, it finishes with a clean, lingering, slightly salty edge.
Food Pairing
An excellent companion to grilled seafood, seafood risotto, or citrus-infused chicken. It also pairs beautifully with fresh garden salads or light vegetarian dishes.
