Produced in the Châteauneuf de Gadagne subregion of the Southern Rhône Valley in France, this wine is the work of Sébastien Clément, a fourth generation vigneron. Domaine des Garriguettes is a family owned estate that pioneered organic viticulture in the village and now strictly follows Demeter certified biodynamic and regenerative farming practices.

Wine Description

L'Amista is a single vineyard, 100% Grenache bottling from old clones planted in 1954 on a site featuring 'galet rouge ferreux' (iron rich rounded stones) over clay subsoil. This red wine typically displays a polished and firm profile, with deep aromas of black berries and cherry complemented by nutty, herbal, and allspice notes. The palate is ripe and juicy, showing powerful yet mellow tannins with a touch of chocolate and ethereal spice. It is a well balanced and complex wine that maintains a certain freshness through its long, spicy finish.
