Product description

This exceptional white wine originates from the Maldonado region of Uruguay, situated just 11 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. Bodega Garzón is a pioneer in South American viticulture, led by the renowned Italian consultant winemaker Alberto Antonini, whose philosophy focuses on minimalist intervention and pure terroir expression. The "Single Vineyard" series is a step above their Reserva line, sourced from specific south-facing blocks with rocky, granite-rich soils that impart a signature salinity to the wine.

Wine Description

The Garzón Single Vineyard Albariño presents an elegant pale yellow colour with greenish reflections. The sensory profile is vibrant and precise, featuring an intense nose of mango, pineapple, and stone fruits (yellow plum), layered with sophisticated notes of citrus zest and white floral blossoms. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and "round," showcasing a juicy acidity and a distinct saline minerality that reflects its coastal origin. It is characterized by its purity and "glassy" texture, leading to a long, refreshing finish with hints of ripe apricot and sea salt. This 100% Albariño has an ABV of 14% and was fermented and aged for 8 months in 80-hectoliter cement tanks to preserve its aromatic integrity and enhance mouthfeel without the influence of oak.
