Product description

This premium aromatized wine comes from the Piedmont region of northern Italy, with the historic producer rooted in the prestigious Barolo area. Casa Borgogno established the roots of this aromatized wine back in the 1920s, crafting it according to an ancient family recipe. As one of the oldest historical wineries in Barolo, the estate blends centuries of heritage with a forward-looking vision that includes a strong commitment to organic farming.

Wine Description

This Vermouth di Torino Bianco Superiore shows a limpid, light golden profile in the glass. The nose is highly expressive and complex, defined by an intricate infusion of 37 to 46 different roots, flowers, seeds, and fruits that are macerated in alcohol for at least two months. Vibrant citrus notes of orange, lemon, and grapefruit take center stage, underpinned by a secret botanical blend featuring mugwort, vanilla, cloves, gentian, rhubarb, sandalwood, cardamom, mace, and a distinct presence of quinine bark. On the palate, it is beautifully structured, supple, and harmonious, striking an elegant balance between sweet citrus fruitiness and a sophisticated herbal bitterness. It has a rich, medium to full body with a warm, beautifully persistent finish. Crafted using a base wine made from Cortese grapes, the final blend incorporates sugar, pure alcohol, and the botanical infusion before resting in traditional concrete tanks. The product features an alcohol by volume of 17%.
