The estate is widely celebrated for its commitment to a traditional, elegant style of Brunello di Montalcino that avoids the over-extraction or heavy oak influence sometimes found in modern expressions. By blending fruit from two distinct vineyard sites—Le Chiuse di Sotto in the north and Podernovone in the south—the winery achieves a "Sangiovese heaven" that balances aromatic lift with structural depth.
Winemaking Philosophy
The estate follows a "vines-first" philosophy, emphasizing organic farming and meticulous manual labor.
Terroir: Fruit is sourced from two main plots. Le Chiuse di Sotto (250m altitude) provides freshness and elegance, while Podernovone (500m altitude) contributes mineral tension and structure.
Method: Winemaking is traditional, utilizing indigenous yeasts and long macerations (often 25–30 days).
