Product description
Glaswegin Distilled Gin is a contemporary Scottish craft gin produced in the heart of Glasgow, Scotland. Founded by Andy McGeoch and launched in 2018, Glaswegin was created as an homage to the frank, no-nonsense character of Glasgow and its people ("Glaswegians"). Famous for its striking, minimalist monochrome milk-carton-style bottle designed by Paul Gray, the spirit strips away unnecessary pretense to focus on a clean, frank botanical profile that balances traditional juniper with distinct regional ingredients.
Spirit Description
Glaswegin is distilled in traditional copper pot stills using a grain neutral spirit and a curated blend of 8 botanicals: Scottish milk thistle, Italian juniper, coriander seed, angelica root, orange peel, chamomile flower, bay leaf, and pink peppercorns. The inclusion of native Scottish milk thistle provides a creaminess on the palate, while pink peppercorn and bay leaf deliver a crisp, savory warmth that sets it apart from conventional London Dry gins.
Colour: Crystal clear, bright, and pristine.
Aroma: Clean and fragrant, opening with crisp piney juniper, zesty orange peel, and gentle chamomile floral notes, backed by subtle herbaceous bay leaf and cracked pepper.
Palate: Smooth, creamy, and well-rounded on the entry. Sweet orange citrus and resinous juniper blend into a velvety milk-thistle mouthfeel, followed by subtle herbal notes of bay leaf and a warm, spicy bite of pink peppercorn.
Body: Medium-bodied with a soft, surprisingly creamy, and smooth texture.
Finish: Crisp, long, and dry, trailing off with lingering citrus brightness, savory bay leaf, and a gentle peppery warmth.
ABV: Bottled at 41.1% ABV (82.2 Proof).
