Product description
Glenfarclas 21 Year Old Single Malt is a prestigious expression originating from Scotland's famed Speyside region, specifically crafted in the heart of Ballindalloch. The Glenfarclas Distillery was established in 1836 and subsequently purchased by John Grant in 1865, beginning a legacy of independent, family-owned heritage that has spanned six generations. Adhering strictly to a philosophy of traditional Highland style craftsmanship, the distillery relies on direct-fired copper pot stills—some of the largest in Speyside—and an uncompromising commitment to long-term dunnage warehouse maturation primarily in European oak ex-Oloroso sherry casks.
Whisky Description
This single malt possesses a deep, amber gold appearance. On the nose, it is intensely aromatic and elegant, showing a rich tapestry of sherried fruit, tropical fruits, nutmeg, and almonds, alongside subtle undercurrents of citrus, fresh honey, and soft leather. The palate is full-bodied, round, and exceptionally balanced, gradually unfolding into deep flavours of toffee, dark fruits, warming baking spices, and a hint of vanilla cream. Made from 100% malted barley, it features a silky, substantive mouthfeel with zero sharp alcohol bite. The finish is remarkably long, smooth, and pleasant, offering a gentle, lingering dryness mixed with chocolate notes and trailing spice.
