Multi-award winning Glenfarclas Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky has been distilled on Speyside for six generations by one family – the Grants. The Glenfarclas Distillery was legally established in 1836, on the Recherlich Farm at Ballindalloch, in the heart of Speyside. In 1865, John Grant purchased the distillery for £511. Situated in the heart of Speyside – malt whisky country – Glenfarclas, translated from the Gaelic as “Glen of the green grassland”, nestles at the foot of the Ben Rinnes mountain.
This is an extremely limited 35-year-old single malt from Glenfarclas that was matured in Spanish oak ex-sherry casks for three and a half decades.
Presented in an eye-catching box, reminiscent of the distillery's iconic red warehouse doors, it offers aromas of roasted almonds, dark dried fruit and creamy toffee that fill the nose. The palate brings notes of sherry-soaked fruit cake, dark chocolate and raisins that linger in the finish, alongside cinnamon and cocoa powder.
