Crafted at the historic Glenmorangie Distillery in Tain, Ross-shire—famous for operating the tallest stills in Scotland—this gift set features the distillery's flagship 12-year-old expression, Glenmorangie The Lasanta, alongside two branded tasting glasses. Under the guidance of Director of Whisky Creation Dr. Bill Lumsden, this whisky undergoes a dual-maturation process: spending 10 years in first- and second-fill ex-bourbon American white oak casks before finishing for an additional 2 years in hand-selected Spanish Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.

Spirit Description

This single malt displays a warm, glowing reddish-amber hue in the glass. The nose is rich, sweet, and inviting, opening with aromas of warm spiced raisins, dark chocolate, and honeycomb, complemented by notes of fresh orange peel and toasted hazelnuts. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with a smooth, velvety texture, delivering luscious flavours of sultanas, butterscotch, candied citrus, and spiced plums, balanced by subtle oak tannin and cinnamon. The finish is long, warm, and satisfying, leaving a sweet trail of dried fruit, cocoa, and gentle nutmeg spice. Bottled at an ABV of 43%, it offers a harmoniously balanced, rich, and sherry-forward profile.
