Product description

Originating from Portugal in the famous Douro region, specifically within the premier Cima Corgo subregion, Graham's Vintage Port 'The Stone Terraces' represents an extraordinarily rare, micro-terroir expression of single vineyard Port winemaking. Produced only in exceptional years from two small, historic stone-terraced vineyard plots at Quinta dos Malvedos, this wine pays homage to the hand-built 18th-century stone walls that define the estate. Owned and operated by Symington Family Estates, the winemaking philosophy relies on traditional stone lagar foot treading and meticulous barrel aging to highlight the distinct schist-rich microclimate of these prized parcels.

Wine Description

The wine presents an opaque, deep purple black colour with vibrant violet rims in the glass. An intense, intoxicating bouquet opens with expressive aromas of dark blackberry, wild blueberry, and cassis, interwoven with fragrant notes of rockrose, fresh mint, dark chocolate, orange blossom, and subtle crushed stone minerality. On the palate, it is full bodied, dense, and remarkably polished, delivering opulent layers of black cherry, dark plum, licorice, and espresso, all balanced by a vibrant spine of fresh natural acidity. Framed by ultra-fine, velvety tannins and a profound slatey mineral drive, it concludes with a exceptionally long, floral, and persistent finish. Composed of a field blend of old Douro vines featuring high proportions of Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca, this release offers an optimal drinking window of 2026–2065+. Stylistically, it combines monumental concentration and Graham's classic dark fruit sweetness with unprecedented aromatic precision and elegance.

Food Pairing

Suggested pairings include stilton cheese, blue cheese with dark wildflower honey, dark chocolate ganache cake, or roasted figs with walnuts. 'Together, they create an unforgettable dining experience.'
