Green River Full Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon is produced in the United States, within the region of Kentucky and the subregion of Owensboro. It is crafted at the historic Green River Distilling Co., the 10th oldest licensed distillery in Kentucky, which was relaunched in 2022 and is now part of the Bardstown Bourbon Company. This expression is a small-batch offering composed of select barrels that are blended and bottled at their actual barrel strength to provide a robust, undiluted experience of the distillery’s high-rye mash bill.

Spirit Description

This full-proof bourbon is aged for five to seven years in Green River’s signature clay tile and traditional rickhouses. It is made from a mash bill of 70% Kentucky-grown corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley. In the glass, it presents a deep golden amber hue. The nose is rich and warming, featuring aromas of mulling spices, fresh cider, thick caramel sauce, and toasted vanilla, with deeper notes of cocoa powder and leather. On the palate, the high proof delivers an intense but balanced experience of warming spice, vanilla, and chocolate-coated peppermints, alongside dried cherry and s'mores. It possesses a lingering, rich mouthfeel and concludes with a long finish marked by tobacco leaf, honey grahams, and balanced toasted oak. Green River Full Proof is typically bottled at approximately 117.3 proof (58.65% ABV), though specific batches may vary slightly.
