This vibrant red wine originates from the Willamette Valley in Oregon, United States. Historically known for its Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon, Greenwing; part of the prestigious Duckhorn Portfolio launched this Pinot Noir as its inaugural release from Oregon in late 2025. The winery's philosophy focuses on "overdelivering" on quality at an accessible price point, sourcing fruit from premier sub-appellations including Eola-Amity Hills, Chehalem Mountains, Yamhill-Carlton, and Ribbon Ridge to capture the diverse terroir of the valley.
Wine Description
The Greenwing Pinot Noir 2024 presents a clear, dark ruby colour. The sensory profile is expressive and aromatic, featuring a nose of dark cherry and spiced cranberry, layered with earthy undertones and sophisticated notes of baking spice, cinnamon, and black raspberry. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and well-balanced, showcasing a silky texture with polished tannins and a bright natural acidity that provides a refreshing lift. It is characterized by its "classic Willamette" harmony, culminating in a lingering finish of ripe raspberry and a trace of espresso. This 100% Pinot Noir has an ABV of 13.9% and was aged for 10 months in 30% new French oak.
