Gut Oggau Theodora 2020
Gut Oggau Theodora is a young white wine with a light body whose image and name are inspired by one of the three children of the Gut Oggau family. A young girl who, like wine, is cheerful and friendly as well as trustworthy and reliable.
The grapes are hand-harvested and destemmed. Fermentation takes place in used 500, 1000, and 1500-liter barrels. The wine stays in these barrels for an elevage of about 9 months, with no batonnage. The wine is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with zero addition of sulfur.
Gut Oggau's luscious and fragrant white is made from a blend of biodynamically cultivated and barrel-aged Gruner Veltliner and Welschriesling grapes. This easy-drinking Austrian wine is dominated by tropical fruit notes, pithy citrus, lemon rind, and a touch of white pepper. Serve with salads, vegetables, or grilled white fish.
