Henri de Villamont's Savigny-lès-Beaune "Le Village" Monopole is a distinguished red wine from the renowned Burgundy region of France. The Henri de Villamont estate, with roots dating back to 1880, is celebrated for its commitment to producing wines that authentically express the terroir of Savigny-lès-Beaune. This particular wine is crafted exclusively from a 4.5-hectare vineyard surrounding the estate's cellars, making it a monopole, or single-owner vineyard.
Wine Description
This 100% Pinot Noir wine presents a bright crimson hue with garnet-red reflections. The nose is inviting, offering a bouquet of ripe red fruits such as cherries and raspberries, complemented by subtle peppery notes. On the palate, it is delicate and fleshy, characterized by silky, generous tannins, balanced acidity, and a rounded mouthfeel. The wine undergoes vinification in vats for 25 days, followed by maturation in oak barrels for 11 months and an additional 6 months in vats, enhancing its complexity and depth.
