Beer Description

This Espresso Stout pours a deep, midnight black, completely opaque with a thick, frothy, tan-colored head that persists like the crema on a fresh shot of espresso.

Aroma: The nose is intense and decadent. It leads with a powerful hit of freshly ground dark roast coffee and burnt sugar, followed by rich layers of dark chocolate, toasted hazelnuts, and a hint of dark fruit (like raisins or dried plums).

Palate: On the tongue, it is full-bodied and velvety, bordering on "creamy." It leads with a deep, roasted malt sweetness—think bittersweet cocoa and molasses. This is immediately followed by the sharp, acidic "zing" of authentic espresso. The finish is long and warming, with a complex bitterness that comes from both the hops and the coffee beans.
