2. Spirit Description
Hornitos Plata is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in Jalisco. Modern diffuser extraction methods and column-still double distillation are utilized alongside traditional cooking to produce a crisp, light, and uniform distillate. Unaged and bottled directly to retain its clean visual presentation, it focuses on crisp, high-strung herbal notes and citrus brightness.
Colour: Crystal clear with brilliant silver highlights.
Aroma: Bright and herbal, opening with floral blossoms, fresh citrus (lime and grapefruit peel), raw agave, and a sharp touch of white pepper and light alcohol heat.
Palate: Crisp and lively on the entry. Upfront flavors of raw agave, sweet lemon-lime zest, and green bell pepper blend into herbal notes of mint and jasmine, accompanied by a quick peppery bite.
Body: Light-to-medium-bodied with a clean, slightly thin viscosity.
Finish: Short, warm, and dry, leaving trailing notes of citrus peel, subtle earthiness, and cracked black pepper spice.
ABV: Bottled at 40% (80 Proof).
