Product description
Originating from Italy in the Veneto region, specifically within the Soave Classico DOC appellation, Inama Vin Soave Classico represents a benchmark, highly authentic, and terroir-driven expression of Garganega. Founded in 1965 by Giuseppe Inama, the estate was among the first in Soave to recognize the extraordinary potential of the historic hillside Classico zone, focusing exclusively on volcanic soils. Sourced from estate vineyards across the dark basaltic slopes of Mount Foscarino and the Fittà hills, the vines grow in ancient volcanic basalt and clay soils. Under winemaking director Stefano Inama and his sons, the winemaking philosophy emphasizes short cold maceration on skins, gentle pneumatic pressing, and temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats followed by eight months of maturation on fine lees without oak aging or malolactic fermentation. The result is a luminous, textured white wine that captures Garganega's natural richness, almond complexity, and saline volcanic drive.
Wine Description
The wine presents a brilliant, clear light straw yellow colour with pale greenish-gold highlights along the rim. An expressive, highly perfumed bouquet opens with noble aromas of white peach, crisp pear, lemon curd, and golden apple, interwoven with delicate notes of chamomile blossom, wild field flowers, roasted almond, and distinct basaltic wet stone minerality. On the palate, it is medium bodied, silken, and energetic, delivering concentrated flavours of stone fruit, citrus zest, and saline mineral earth, all supported by a bright, mouthwatering spine of natural volcanic acidity. Framed by a sleek, textured mid-palate structure and a subtle almond skin grip, it concludes with a long, persistent finish marked by lingering white fruits, subtle herbal notes, and a clean mineral snap. Composed of 100% Garganega, it offers immediate drinking appeal along with cellaring potential over 3 to 6 years. Stylistically, it combines volcanic tension, floral aromatics, and authentic Italian food friendliness.
