Product description

This structured and 'crystalline' white wine originates from New Zealand, within the world-renowned Marlborough region at the northeastern tip of the South Island. Produced by Invivo Wines an innovative and acclaimed estate co-founded in 2008 by childhood friends Tim Lightbourne and winemaker Rob Cameron this benchmark Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc captures the vibrant essence of two distinct growing sub-regions: the Wairau Valley and the Awatere Valley. The vines are rooted in deep, well-draining gravelly silt loams and stony alluvial soils deposited by glacial rivers. Marlborough’s maritime climate features high sunshine hours balanced by cool ocean breezes and dramatic diurnal temperature shifts, allowing Sauvignon Blanc to accumulate intense tropical and herbaceous aromatics while locking in a razor-sharp, mouthwatering natural acidity.

Wine Description

Invivo Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc presents a luminous, pale straw-yellow color in the glass with vivid chartreuse and lime-green highlights along the rim. Its sensory profile is exceptionally fresh, high-toned, and complex, delivering an explosive, expressive, and precisely focused portrait of classic Marlborough terroir. The bouquet opens with a soaring display of passionfruit, ripe guava, and crushed lemongrass, seamlessly layered with complex underlays of pink grapefruit, fresh jalapeño, lime zest, and a distinct line of crushed stone minerality. On the palate, the wine is light-to-medium-bodied, sleek, and athletic, showcasing a vibrant core of crunchy citrus, passionfruit pulp, and white peach. It is characterized by its outstanding inner energy and an incisive, mouthwatering backbone of natural acidity that effortlessly elevates its mid-palate fruit density. The mouthfeel is broad, supple, and weightless, gliding into an extraordinarily long, dry, and mineral-driven finish accented by lingering notes of lime peel, flint, and fresh herbs.
