Product description

Introduction

Jameson Triple Triple is a premium Irish whiskey produced at the Midleton Distillery in County Cork, Ireland. The brand was founded in 1780 by John Jameson and is currently owned by Irish Distillers, a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard. This expression is notable for being both triple distilled and triple cask matured, building on the signature smoothness of the original Jameson blend. Originally introduced as a travel retail exclusive, it has since graduated to a wider general release.

Spirit Description

This whiskey is a blend of single pot still and single grain Irish whiskeys that undergo a unique maturation journey in three distinct types of barrels. There are two notable variations of this expression: one matured in bourbon, sherry, and Malaga wine casks, and a newer edition matured in bourbon, sherry, and sweet chestnut casks.

  • Colour: The spirit presents a rich golden hue in the glass.

  • Aroma: The nose opens with inviting aromas of toffee fudge, vanilla, and hazelnut chocolate, balanced by subtle orchard fruits like sweet pear and green apple.

  • Palate: It delivers a luscious and textured mouthfeel with notes of creamy fudge, vanilla, and dark chocolate, complemented by mild nutty undertones and gentle wood spices.

  • Body: The whiskey is characterized by a velvety smooth, silky, and supple body that remains rounded without being overpowering.

  • Finish: It concludes with a medium to long finish where the fruit and spices gently fade, allowing the balanced influence of oak and chestnut (or Malaga) to linger.

  • ABV: Jameson Triple Triple is typically bottled at 40%.
