This esteemed white wine originates from the Mosel region of Germany, specifically from the world-famous Wehlener Sonnenuhr ('Sundial of Wehlen') vineyard. The Joh. Jos. Prüm estate was founded in 1911 by Johann Josef Prüm following a family inheritance split, and it has since become one of the most iconic white wine producers in the world. Today, the winery is led by Dr. Manfred Prüm and his daughter Katharina, the fourth generation of the family to manage the estate, maintaining a philosophy of minimal intervention and traditional winemaking.

The 2020 JJ Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett is a pale yellow Riesling with a complex and delicate sensory profile. The nose is sublime and slightly flinty, offering aromas of stewed apricots, white peach, and green berries mixed with white florals and a touch of mandarin. On the palate, the wine is round and lush yet remarkably refined, featuring a vibrant core of acidity that balances its light sweetness and provides a 'crystalline' texture. The finish is long and sustainably salty, highlighting the deep grey slate terroir of the steep Wehlen slopes.
